Shine your Light
It’s important to be proud of who you are faults and all. Your quirks make you unique and interesting and amazing. If you are not proud of who you are, it shows in everything you do or say. Your actions speak louder than your words and if you are not proud of who you are it’s time to take steps to change that.
We all have incredible gifts to offer the world. The world has many interesting and unique people and you are one of them. If you are not proud of who you are, it is time to start to celebrating yourself for the amazing person you are instead of always focusing in on your faults. You should be proud of what nature blessed you with and you should wear it proudly like a badge of honor instead of constantly trying to hide or disguise your perceived flaws.
It doesn’t matter if you have a big nose because your nose makes you completely unique. You shouldn’t try and be something you aren’t either. If you don’t have the gift of gab, it just means you’re a better listener; we can’t all be talking at once. Everyone has something that shines and everyone has something that someone else doesn’t.
When you are proud of who you are you realize there is no one else on earth quite like you. You have your own unique thumbprint design from God. You are made to be one of a kind and there is no matched set. Think about those unique qualities that make you, you.
It’s important to always be true to yourself and to your unique personality. Everyone is always trying to be someone they are not and in the end it is way too much work. If you are not the life of the party, it really doesn’t matter because chances are you have something else to offer that someone else doesn’t. Confidence comes from taking stock of your achievements and your strengths.
Self-confident people inspire that same confidence in others and your self-confidence can show in many ways including your behavior, your body language, how you speak and even what you say. Those who are confident stand proud and tall with their heads held high and they rarely feel ashamed or embarrassed. Having a sense of self worth means you have a feeling or belief in your own powers and abilities. Self worth means presenting yourself with confidence and grace and relying on and believing in yourself. When you have a deeply ingrained trust in yourself and your abilities, you have a much higher level of self-respect.
There are two additional things that contribute to your self-confidence, your self-efficacy or belief in your own abilities and your self-esteem. Your belief in our own abilities plays a major role in how you approach your goals. When you see yourself achieving milestones and completing tasks with confidence and pride, it builds your self-esteem and makes you feel good about yourself.
When you are proud of who you are you don’t need to hide. It’s time to take stock of all your best qualities if you struggle with confidence. List all of those things that you have achieved in your life and don’t stop until you get to one hundred. When you take the time to list your achievements it gives you a wonderful feeling of pride.
The key to happiness is pursuing your passions and doing things you love. When you are doing what you love, everything inspires you. When you are doing what you hate, the world is against you. Life is too short to be dragging yourself around every day because you only get one ride. If you take steps to make your ride worthwhile by being proud of who you are you will have a much easier life. People are attracted to those who are confident and your confidence can make or break you.
Much like the ugly duckling that became a beautiful swan, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Deep down inside, we are all beautiful because our spirits are eternal. If you only knew how utterly amazing you were, you would not spend one more moment covered in shame. Take stock of who you are today and be proud, no matter what. Don’t try and be someone else, because you have a unique blend of amazing qualities. Every little flaw or quirk makes you unique and you are designed for perfection. If you are not perfect, it doesn’t matter because life is not really a popularity contest. Life was meant to be lived every single second of every day. Don’t waste another minute being ashamed. Be proud of who you are.
